Elise found me in an odd way. I used to do design work for Kyohaksa publishing and Elise was using one of the books I designed to tutor this kid. She saw my name and thought it was interesting that a foreigner designed a book for a Korean company. Anyway, she somehow found me, my last name is a bit unique so it’s not that hard. And to make a long story short, we had a photo shoot, and here are some of the results. I wanted to do some forced over exposure for these shots.

More models from the May Issue. For Susanna, we decided to go to the Cheongye Cheon. A beautiful stream in the middle of Seoul. It was a project taken on a few years back by now President Lee Myung Bak. I actually got to meet him back then as he was promoting his Cheongye Cheon masterpiece. I have to say it is a beautiful public space and a favourite spot of mine for photo-taking. For Nikki, we stayed closer to home, well my home, using the narrow back streets in older parts of Seoul lined with brick walls and bamboo.

Brandy was back again. This time for a different look. We traveled to Seonyudo park, near Dangsan station. It used to be a water treatment facility, but it was changed to a gorgeous park that mixes hard, cement blocks with soft natural elements.

One of our first photo shoots for May was with Natalya. She wanted a rockabilly look and I think she pulled it off quite well. It turned out to be more Asian rockabilly tho! I had a fan with me since it was a hot day and I figured Natalya and the makeup artist might need it. They did! And then it became part of the shoot. We were down by the Han river. Lots of changes taking place down there to “beautify” the parks along the Han.

IT’S SPRINGTIME! And BE A MODEL is back…for the ENTIRE MONTH OF MAY.

AND THIS TIME…WE ARE GOING OUTSIDE! But our focus remains the same. We are here for you. Why not capture YOU in this moment. OR why not recreate yourself and live out a fantasy? We are open to any and all ideas.

NOW THE LOCATION…Seoul is a wonderfully big and beautiful city and it is your backdrop. Answer these three questions and we can find the best location for your shoot:

1. nature or concrete jungle?
2. day or night?
3. private or public?

Already have an idea of where you want photos taken, tell us!

As always we will provide a makeup artist for the day of the shoot. You get your photos that day on a memory stick provided by us. And a big beautiful coffee table book documenting Seoul fashion. All these things
